OISC Adviser & Solicitor Directory
Directory of OISC-registered advisers and immigration solicitors for referral.
In the UK, only two types of people are legally allowed to give immigration advice: an adviser regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA, formerly known as OISC), or a solicitor regulated by the SRA (England & Wales) or the equivalent body in Scotland or Northern Ireland. Anyone else charging for immigration advice is breaking the law.
Search the official register to check if someone is currently authorised, and at what level, before you pay for advice.
Search the IAA Adviser Finder →If you'd rather use a solicitor (useful for complex cases, appeals, or if things go to court), check they're currently authorised and see any past disciplinary history.
Search the SRA Solicitors Register →MyJapaUK doesn't vet or recommend individual advisers or solicitors — these link directly to the official regulators so you get an authoritative, up-to-date answer. Never pay anyone for immigration advice who isn't listed on one of these registers.
